Birmingham Drag & Burlesque Festival presents: How To Feel Born Again with Dolls Club
A relaxed environment to ask questions about performing and producing from a trans-eye, a chance to network with other like minded individuals, and learning how to do the iconic dolls club born again dance from the dolls themselves, as a welcoming community focused workshop open to all skill levels and experience.

ABOUT DOLLS CLUB:

Dolls Club is Birminghams iconic All - Trans cast cabaret produced by Emberly and Sissy, running various events across venues in Birmingham over the past few years.


Birmingham Drag & Burlesque Festival is supported using National Lottery Funding through Arts Council England.

The first festival of its kind in the United Kingdom is landing right here, in the second biggest city, the land of the 0121, the birthplace of Black Sabbath and where ‘Bab’ is used as a greeting more than hello… Birmingham! Produced by ‘Birmingham’s Queen of Burlesque’, Dominus Von Vexo, founder of House of Allure. The festival will be a sparkling, scintillating, steamy cocktail of shows and workshops in the bull’s eye of the city. Sizzling showgirls, daring drag, comedic clowning, bawdy burlesque is but a tease of what is to come; across various venues that contribute and define the creative heartbeat of the city. In the words of Brummie legend, Julie Walters, “Stage is the most exciting!” and we cannot wait to bring you that thrill. 1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.

    Having seen an amazing show at The Old Joint Stock, we were thrilled to discover the Burlesque classes with House of Allure. Having limited dance experience, we were nervous of what to expect but we were made very welcome at our first class. And with an opportunity to perform as part of Pride 2027 what is not to love? What an amazing positive, inclusive, welcoming group who made us feel like this was a safe space for fun, self expression and joy without judgment. We are hooked and can’t wait to continue our journey in Burlesque!

    As a complete newbie, I was worried about trying something new, but those fears disappeared as the group were so welcoming. Dominus is a fantastic instructor and creates an inclusive and fun environment. Absolutely loving these burlesque classes! What a fun start to the week! ☺️
